RAM FAIR AT INVERCARGILL.

Invercargill, last night. At the ram fair to-day between seven and eight hundred were offered, including 25 studs. Of these tho top price, 17gs, were given for one shear Border Leicester, bred by J. McCrostic. Another by the same

breeder brought 12 guineas, McKcrchor Brothers getting 13 and 121 guineas for two of their breeding studs. Other breeds were in poor demand. For the flock there was a poor demand. Prices ranged from 1 to 5 guineas for Border Leicester's. Eight one shear English Leicester's, bred by Richard Wright, of Canterbury, were sold at 6.]- to 8 guineas. For rams not in the flock book there was practically no demand. A few sold, realising a guinea on the average.
