MAORI MEETING. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. A big Maori ceremony was held at Kennedy's Bay on Friday, for tho dedication of the new Maori Church, and opening a meeting house, both of which have been erected by Maoris at their own cost. Several of the Anglican clergy from Auckland attended, and were heartily welcomed by the .Maoris. The church and meeting house cost 42270, and the Maoris have already over £2OO in hand. THE VENTURA. The mail steamer Ventura sailed for ’Frisco at half-past six this morning. ARRIVALS. The Mararoa has arrived from Sydney, and has been placed in quarantine. The Zior, schooner, from Gisborne, and the Ysabol, three-masted schooner, from Newcastle, have arrived.
