Per Press Association—Copyright. Auckland, last night. At the University Senate, Sir R. Stout’s motion preventing students obtaining senior scholarship honors, unless on an examination held within three years from the matriculation in case of senior scholarships, and four years from matriculation in the case of honors, was deferred till next session.

Professor Shand moved thc.rcpoal of the section of the senior scholarship statute providing for dividing scholarships when examiners are unable to discriminate between two candidates. The motion was rejected.
