Man Missing.

[by telegram— press association.] Wairoa, last night. Robert Clifford, gardener for Mr G. C. Ormond, Mahia, is missing. I-Ic was at the Wairoa races, and left Wairoa on tho 7th. He stopped at Mrs Irwin’s, Morerc, and left there on the Bth or 9th, but did not take his horse or saddle. The police have left to make enquiries. Mr Clifford is known to Gisborne people. He is an elderly man, but was very active for his ago. He will perhaps be best remembered in Gisborne as the man who went on to the stage and tackled Mr Isitt on the drink question.
