CARRIAGE BY PLANE (9 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Oct. 19. Army and navy planes ferrying personnel and material to the United Nations’ fighting fronts are now bripging back strategic materials on the return trips, including platinum from the Persian Gulf, tungsten "and silk from China, crude rubber from Brazil, and diamonds and rpica from South Africa, according to the Office of War Information.
