INDEMNITY TO NAZIS
PAYMENTS BY FRANCE (British Oilicial Wireless.) (Noon.) RUGBY, Oct. 14. Indemnity payable by France to Germany during the first half of 1942 came to about £315,000,000, according to a statement made in the House of Commons by Mr. Dingle Foot, Parliamentary Under-Secretary to the Ministry of Economic Warfare. Of this, probably £ 100,009,000 was spent on the upkeep of Germany’s army of occupation.
