WAIROA STOCK SALE A small entry of sheep and cattle came forward at the Wairoa stock sale on Thurs day, and there was a smaller attendance than usual owing to adverse weather condi iions. Prices, however, were well up to late rates and everything sold at auction. Messrs. Williams and Kettle, Limited, quote:—Medium wether hoggets, 18s 4d; cull do., 9s; backward ewes, in lamb, 12s; small P.A. yearling steers, £3 to £3 2s; medium 'P.A. yearling heifers, £3 7s 6d; small do., £2.
