WEST FRONT QUIET

SNOW AND FOG ARTILLERY FIRE (Reed. Dec. 30, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 29. A war communique issued in Paris states that there is nothing of importance to report from the Western Front. Snowfalls and fog brought operations to a standstill. A war communique issued in Berlin announced that the Western Front is quiet except for slight harassing artillery fire from the enemy. A Paris message states it is reported from Luxembourg that a German mine exploded near the ruins of the Schenger bridge, which was one of two blown up yesterday. Germans later were seen removing the bodies of several soldiers.
