RIVAL TO LLOYD’S
JAPANESE ENTERPRISE WORLD-WIDE NETWORK LONDON, Dec. 22. A Japanese shipbuilding company is setting up a rival to Lloyd’s of London. For two centuries Lloyd’s has been the centre for the collection of maritime information from every port in the world. The Mitsui Bussan Kaisya, Limited, one of Japan’s biggest shipbuilders, is organising a worldwide network of shipping intelligence, says the Evening Standard. The organisation is supported by tlie Japanese Government, It will also seek to popularise tlie sea as a career. Offices will be opened immediately in London and New York and eventually in every country.
