SYDNEY MARCH PLANNED BLOOD-TYPE RECORDS (Reed. Dec. 28, 2.50 p.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 28. It is officially announced that the sixteenth brigade of the Second Australian Infantry Force will march through the streets of Sydney on January 4. The brigade numbers 0500. “The blood type’’ of every member of the Second Australian Infantry Force will be recorded in his paybook and also inscribed on the back of his identity disc so that "men who are severely wounded may be given blood transfusions without loss of time. It is believed that the Australian Infantry Force will be the first of the Allied armies to have the blood type of every man classified in advance.
