GOOD ATTENDANCE HORSE JUMPING POPULAR WELL-RUN MEETING (Herald Correspondent.) The Nuhaka Sports Club held its annual fixture on Boxing Day at the Nuhaka A. and P. Society’s showground. The attendance was good, the gate returns and entries being on a par with last year. Owing perhaps, to the alteration of the date of the fixture, a number of the usual sports club patrons were further afield. The horse events were again the popular attraction, the judge, Mr. J. 0 olds tone, Wairoa, remarking on the good jumping witnessed. In the running events competition was mostly supplied from Gisborne. The committee went to much trouble in preparing the track, about which many complimentary remarks were passed. The president, Mr. W. Shortt, the secretary, Mr. H. Schwass, the stewards and the committee were complimented on the smooth running of the meeting.
