UNDER CANVAS
SCOUTS ENTER CAMP 135 BOYS AT RIMUROA At !) a.m. to-day the main draft of Boy Scouts who are to take part in ihe annual camp left Gisborne for Rimuroa station, where they will spend two weeks under canvas. The fine weather during the past few days has enabled the camp officers to carry out full preparations for the reception of the 135 boys, including •Scouts from many parts of the Gisborne and Coast districts.
Throughout the day additional parties arrived at the camp from points farther afield, some travelling from Ruatoria and Tolaga Bay, and others from Wairoa. The Gisborne representatives are from the Manga papa, Y.M.C.A. and Sea Seout troops and the Rover crew.
A full programme of scouting activities, swimming and outdoor games has been arranged for the hoys, who have looked forward to the fixture with much keenness. They will break camp on January !>.
Visiting days have been arranged ns follows: December 28, catnp fire at S p.m.: December 31; January 1; January ;t, camp fire at S p.m.; January 7. from 1.30 p.m., and camp fire in the evening.
