Soldier Sells Sheep

A member of a Hawke's Bay stock and station concern who is now a member of the New Zealand Special Force and home on final leave gave buyers a pleasurable “kick” at last week’s sale at Stortford Lodge. Bidding for store sheep was slow when, habit proving too strong, the khakiclad figure left the ranks of buyers and climbed on to the rails to give the auctioneer a hand. He obviously enjoyed the experience, as did the buyers.
