FAST U.S. FIGHTERS MACHINE-GUN ORDERS (Reed, Dec. 20, 9 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Dec. 18. The acting-Secretary- of' the Navy, Mr. Chas. Edison, announced that he is allowing Finland to take the first 40 of the new type of Brewster fighter, which is being built to the United States Navy’s order. He stressed that the planes are being, sold by the manufacturer and not by; tire Government. The machines are considered to be faster than any Soviet machine. It is reliably stated that Finland is also purchasing machine-guns and ammunition.
