EMPIRE FEELS PROUD MESSAGES TO DOMINION ♦ (i'er jfress Association.) WELLINGTON, tills day. The Minister ol Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, to-day received cablegrams commending 11.M.5. Achilles for its part in the sea conflict. A message from a former GovernorGeneral. Lord Bledisloe, read: “Please convey my warmest congratulations on the magnificent exploit. The whole Empire feels proud.’’ Admiral the Hon. E. R. Drummond, who formerly commanded the New Zealand Division telegraphed: ’‘Heartiest congratulations to tiic New Zealand Division."
