Donation to Patriotic Funds

The intention of the Gisborne Primary Schools' Festival Committee to donate approximately £8 to the patriotic fund for the provision of Christinas gifts for recruits in training is announced by the president of the committee, Mr. A. E. H. Parkinson. At a lecent meeting a distribution of the profits of the festival was made to each of the schools for the encouragement of music and art, and it was decided to vote the surplus to the patriotic funds.
