BALLOON BARRAGE

300,000 MEN ENGAGED MARKED DEVELOPMENT (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, Dec. 13. Some 300,000 men are now engaged in balloon barrage work in Britain. When the war broke out the barrage system was only a year old, but when the order was given every balloon was on its way to its pre-determined site within 24 hours. To meet the changing circumstances there has already been a considerable development in the use of the barrage.
