Wedding in London
Well-known Tennis Player
Mr. Mai fro v—Miss Gordon
At the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption. Regent street, London, the marriage was solemnised on November 17 between Camille Enright, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Malfroy, of Wellington, and Sybil, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Gordon, Bordersmead, Loughton, Essex. The bride and her parents first met Mr. Malfroy in the South of France early this year. The wedding was a quiet one, only special friends being invited. The bride, who was given away by her father, wove a tailored costume of crushed raspberry woollen material, the bodice having a panel of satin to tone. The semi-fitting short coat was piped with the same satin. A spray of deep shaded roses was worn, and a turban-headdress of velvet matched the costume.
The bridegroom, who is a flight lientenant in the R.A.F., was in uniform. He obtained leave from France to go to London for the wedding. The best man, Mr. R. J. Ritchie, was also in uniform (khaki). The groomsmen were Mr. John Gordon and Mr. Gerald Thomas.
Among those present were the bride’s parents and sister, Mr. and Mrs. J. O. J. Malfroy, Mrs. P. H. B. Legge, Miss Joan Ingram, Mr. Nigel Sharpe, and Miss Kay Stammers. From the church the party went to the Savoy Hotel, where they were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Gordon.
