SWIMMING AT NIGHT

MACRAE BATH PLANS PATRONAGE INCREASED Due to the recent warm weather, admissions to the Macrae Bath this season have been considerably ahead of those for the corresponding period last year. In making this statement at last night’s meeting of the Gisborne Borough Council, the borough engineer, Mr. E. R. Thomas, stated that the admissions for the fortnight ended December 2 totalled 1386, and in addition 44 concession cards were sold. With further warm weather expected, the attendance should still further increase during the Christmas holidays. Arrangements were being made for evening sessions from 7 to 8.30 o’clock.
