YOUNG SORTS IN DEMAND There was a good yarding of pigs in all classes at Opotiki. Store pigs, weaner pigs and slips sold well under good competition. Bacon pigs showed a decline on late rates, but sold well up to present export schedule. Quotations:—Heavy prime baconers, £3 5s to £3 9s; medium, £2 18s to £3 3s: light, £2 14s to £2 17s ; heavy porkers, £2 5s to £2 12s; light, £2 to £2 6s; large stores, £2 to £2 7s; others 34s to 38s; slips, to 34s 0d; weaners, good quality, 25s to 30s 6d; small, 17s 6d to 245; choppers, 30s to £2 10s.
