NAZI BRUTALITY VASSAL STATES Still more repressive measures by Germany in Poland and Czechoslovakia are reported by radio. A now chief of the secret police for the whole ol' Poland has been appointed. Notorious for his merciless behaviour in the German people’s court in 1933, he will direct the campaign of mass executions ■ which have been taking place in the Germanoccupied portion of Poland.
Nevertheless, il is reported that the Pole:; are .still carrying on guerilla warfare against the Nazis. Drastic reprisals have been threatened.
All Jews in Poland have been ordered to wear a yellow arm band, says a Copenhagen newspaper. They have been forbidden to go out at night, and are not allowed to have a bank account of more than £BO.
