POWER BOARD REQUEST WAR RISK INSURANCE (Por Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Advice that the board’s application for additional sterling funds to make payments in London on account of war risk insurance could not be granted was received from the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, at a meeting of the Auckland Electric-Power Board yesterday. It was stated that the payments would have meant a big saving to the board. .‘‘lt is not possible for me to give in advance an undertaking that additional funds will be available when j required,” the Minister stated. “The| Reserve Bank is responsible for the' actual issue of remittance authorities ! and I suggest that you make applica-' tion in the usual way through your trading bank." j ■
