ARTILLERY DUELLING fights by Planes NAZIS PUT DOWN (Reed. Nov. 22, p.m.) 3 , LONDON, Nov. 21. The French official evening communique states that the day was notable for an artillery duel to the east of the Saar.and also to the east oithe Vosges. The two air forces were active. A German reconnoitring plane was
brought down within the French lines. Two fighters were brought down in flames over the enemy lines. All the French aircraft rejoined their bases. Paris also reports that British pur-
suit planes chased to sea two German reconnaissance machines which I flew over part of France. It is believed that one was shot down.
