DEFEAT OF CITY OLD BOYS 10 POINTS OI.D STUDENTS WIN MARIST DOWN ON FIRST B GRADE CENTURY With (lie wicket playing better than on the opening day of tile Senior A grade cricket matches in Gisborne that were completed on Saturday, Old Boys increased their first innings’ advantage over City, who were 10(> runs behind on the first. Old Boys secured a win by 10 wickets, their first victory after a ;eason of losses.
Marist were 20 behind G.H.5.0.8. on the first innings, and, despite a batting collapse by the old students in their second strike, they secured a win on the first .after Marist had made s. good effort to pull the game out of the tire in attempting to make 92 runs in tile final innings with lime against them.
