SWORN IN CANADA AUSTRALIAN MINISTER (British OlHclnl Wireless.) Reed. 3 p.m. RUGEY, Nov. 14. An Ottawa message reports that a ceremony unprecedented in the history of the Empire took place at Government House, Ottawa, to-day when the Governor-General of Canada, Lord Tweedsmuir, swore in office as the Air Minister in the Australian Federal Government, Mr. J. V. Fairbairn, who is at present _in Canada as the head of the Australian mission in connection with the Empire air training scheme.

This was the first time that the Governor-General of one Dominion has given an oath to a Minister of another Dominion.
