WAIPAOA RIVER WATER TESTS FROM PILOT PLANT Samples of treated water have been taken from the pilot plant operating at the Waipaoa River for the purpose of testing the efficacy of the filtration system of. dealing with the river water, and these have been examined by the Government Health Department.

When making this statement at last night’s meeting of the Gisborne Borough Council, the borough engineer, Mr. E. R. Thomas, stated that all samples examined by the department had proved the water, after treatment, lo be perfectly sterile.
