CABINET RESHUFFLE

CANBERRA DECISION CONTROL OF SERVICES (Reed. Nov. 13, 9 a.m.) CANBERRA, Nov. 11. Big changes in the Federal Cabinet were announced by the Prime Minister, Mr, R.. G. Menzies, to-day. Mr. Menzies will take over the portfolios of Minister of Defence and Coordination, Mr. G. A. Street, the Minister of Defence, becomes solely Minister for the Army. Mr. .1. V. Fairbairn, the Minister of Civil Aviation, becomes Minister of Air, and Sir Frederick Stewart, Minister of Health and Social Service, becomes Minister of the Navy in addition to Minister of Health and Social Services. Mr. R. G. Casey remains as Minister of Supply.

A special committee of Ministers will in future constitute in effect an economic Cabinet. The war Cabinet will consist of Mr. Menzies, Mr. W. M. Hughes, Mr. Casey, Mr. Street, Sir Henry Gullett, Sir Frederick Fairbairn, Senator 11. S. Foil, and the acting Treasurer, Mr. Spender.
