INCREASE IN PRICES EXPANDED BUSINESS AUSTRALIAN EXCHANGE (Klit. TYI. (.'(ipyright- United I’ress Assn.) SYDNEY, Nov. 8. Higher prices were mostly associated with a greatly expanded turnoxer on the Sydney Stock Exchange to-day. The demand was widespread, indicating a strong flow of funds for investment.
Sales included:—Bank of New South Wales, £2O 15s : Commercial Bank of Australia, 14s fid; Union Bank, £6 14s; Associated News, lGs 3d ; Woolworths, Limited, £1 3s; G. J. Coles, £3 10s Gd; Australian Consolidated Industries, £1 17s 41d; Australian Consolidated Industries, contributing, 14s Gd; Australian Consolidated. Industries, New Zealand delivery, 13s lid; William Adams, 14s 4d; J, Fielding, £4 3s Gd; Broken Hill Proprietary, £3 13s 9d; Arahura Gold, £1 10s; Kanieri Gold, £1 11s; Emperor Mines, 11s Id; Taranaki Oil, 4s 3d.
Morning sales, which were notable for rises in Broken Hill Proprietary and Australian Consolidated Industries, included: Tooth’s Brewery, 525; Australian Consolidated Industries, 37s Old; Australian Consolidated Industries, contributing, .New Zealand delivery, 13s lid, with other subsequent sales to 14s Gd; Broken Hill Proprietary, 75s Gd; Drug Houses, 25s 4),d; Electrolytic Zinc, pref., 38s.
Sales on the Stock Exchange of Melbourne to-day included: —Commercial Bank of Australia, 14s Gd; Felt and Textiles, £1 16s Id; Hume Pipe, 16s 3d; Australian Consolidated Industries, £1 17s; Broken Hill South, £1 7s; Emperor Mities, Its; Loloma Mines, £1 5s 3d; Mount Lyell, £1 10s.
