OPENING TOURNAMENT 22 PLAYERS COMPETE Tlie Kahutia Ladies’ Bowling Club held its first tournament of the season on the Kahutia green yesterday, when 22 players took part in a fixed pairs competition. The weather was fine, but a strong wind made play tricky and upset the most carefully calculated shots. However, some close contests were witnessed and the bowlers had a mostenjo.vable day's sport. Mesdames Graham and Fischbach gained the honours in the tournament, defeating Mesdames Hanna and Davy in the final by 4 to 3. an extra .lead being necessary to decide tlie winners.
