CRICKET CONTROL

HAWKE CUP CHALLENGE DRAW FOR SATURDAY Means of raising funds to meet the expenses of a travelling team during the New Year holidays to take part in a Hawke Cup cricket challenge match were discussed yesterday afternoon at a meeting of the management committee of the Poverty Bay Cricket Association, and it was decided to refer the matter to the clubs for their support.

There were present Messrs. J. deV. W. Blathwayt, chairman, V. C. R. Mitford, A E. Bignall, E. Judge, P. 11. Dow. G. A. Revel 1, R. H. Cook, Fraser, G. E. Slade, and the lion, secretary, Mr. D. A. Wells.

Following is the draw for Saturday:—

Senior A Grade. —G. 11.5.0.8. v. Marist,’ on Oval No. 4 wicket; Old Boys v. City Oval No. 3.

Senior B. Grade.—United B v. High School A, High School rectory wicket; Gisborne Club v. High School B, High School concrete wicket; United A v. Citv, bath wicket; Marist v. G. H. S. O. "B. White, Oval No. 2; Civil Service v. G. PI. S. O. B. Blue, Oval No. 1.

Junior Grade.—High School A v. Marist. Oval representative wicket; High School B v. Primary Schools, High School third bath wicket.
