City temperatures to-day wore down almost to record levels, the minimum, 40.9 degrees, being 10.4 degrees below normal and the maximum. 50 degrees, being the lowest ever recorded in Melbourne in November. Snow fell over a wide area, some ranges near Melbourne receiving Gin.
