COALMINES IDLE
UP TO 15,000 MEN AUSTRALIAN DISPUTE (Eloc. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Recti. Nov. 4, 9 u.m.) SYDNEY. Nov. 4. Nearly all the coal mines in the northern field were idle yesterday, involving 15,000 employees, owing to the strike of the 300 mine engineers who refused to obey their executive and return to work. Miners’ officials proceeded to Melbourne last night to obtain intervention of the Commonwealth Arbitration Court.
