£250 ROBBERY CHARGE

TWO MEN REMANDED PAY CLERK INJURED (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Charged with robbing W. E. Parr of £250, at the same time using personal violence towards him, Robert iMilton, a labourer, aged 39 and Anthony Bradford Heating, an engineer, aged 25, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday and were remanded until next Friday. Detective-Sergeant Doyle said the charges arose from an attempted robbery at the M.L.C. Buildings the previous afternoon when the accused attacked Parr, who is a pay clerk, and attempted to escape with the pay bag. Parr’s injuries made it unlikely that he will be in a condition to attend die court for some time.
