The Canadian Defence Purchasing Board has announced a contract for £5,000,000 worth of railway equipment.
Simultaneously it was revealed that the board; wilL cease to function as from November 1, when its duties will be taken over by the War Supply Board, which is to act as the general purchaser for Britain and the Allies.
