TENNIS DANCE (Herald Correspondent.) At the conclusion of the tennis tournament in Tolaga Bay on Monday a very enjoyable dance was held in .he Reynolds Hall. Mrs. B. Lincoln supplied the music and extras were piayed ,by Mrs. Olson, Miss Carr and Miss Wright. The Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mr. B. McKenzie and Miss Wright. Among those present were Mesdames Dunlop, O. G. James, G. Wilson. Gilbertson, and OJson; Misses E. Smith, E. and J. McNamara, C. Laing, D. Rennie, O. Lincoln, H. Percy, J. Donald, D. Dunlop, E. de Montalk, U. McDonald, S. Miller, P. Weeks, A. James, M. Shepherd, D. Methven, C Carr. A. Ngata, F. Tuhiwai, J. Nonno a, D. Shaw and B. Weeks.
Mr. F. B. Calcott has returned from the Hawke’s Bay Show, where he was again successful with fleeces from Rota tahi station, gaining first in hoggett shorn as lamb, second lor unshorn hoggett and second and third lor crossbred ewe exceeding 48 counts. These placitigs were gained under strong competition.
Miss Venning, Gisborne, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. Lockwood, Anaura. —Mr. V. Hurlstone, who is an inmate of the Cook Hospital, Gisborne, is making satisfactory progress.—Mr. O’Reily is a naiient in the Cook Hospital.—Miss Rei;l and Mrs. Reid have left to visit relatives in Hawke’s Bay and the Wairaiunn.
