OFFER TO GERMANS
(Reed. Oct 24, 3 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 23.
In view of the fact that the Germans were blamed in the last war for bombing a British field hospital which was placed at the angle of two strategic railway lines in France and which the enemy sought to justify attacking, interest attaches to a British United Press announcement that an important port of France is being organised as a main hospital base for the British Army and may become a neutral zone.
It is suggested to Germany that no plane of any nationality should fly over the area. The Allies would similarly respect a corresponding zone in Germany.
