ISLANDS IN PACIFIC AMERICAN EXPEDITION (Reed. Oct. 14, 9 a.m.) NEW YORK. Oct. 12. The American Museum of Natural History and the Columbia University are sponsoring a Pacific cruise of 4000 miles in the three-masted schoner Director II to collect rare birds, geologic speciments and record primitive magic from Fiji to New Guinea. The schooner, carrying a light plane for survey and -supplies, will leave early in December. The personnel will include Mrs. Bruce Malmstock, aged 55. the widow of a stockbroker, and her two sons who were previuosly members of an expedition in the Pacific.
