N.Z. ROAD RACE (Per Press Association.) W AIM ATE, this day. In calm, sunny weather to-day 50 riders were dispatched on. the 135mile New Zealand road championship i cycle race. i Non-starters were E. Butcher, Christchurch, scratch; A. Samson, Ashburton; W. Marton, Wellington, 25 min., and R. Gluestetn, Ashburton, 40 min. The first batch of riders left at 8.30 a.m. and the last at 9.25 a.m. The first rider was expected to reach Christchurch at 3 o’clock.
