Oct. 3. “Russia’s incursion into Europe is a matter of the deepest gravity,” declared General Franco. “The evil must be minimised. In order that now and stronger dangers to the spirit of Europe do not oome from the East, there must be peace in Western Europe. “Germany should be a sufficiently strong and solid barrier to the political and social aims of*expanding Russia.”
