HANDICAP MATCH GISBORNE DEFENCE CLUB A. THOMAS GROSSES 96 The Gisborne Defence Rifle Club held its first handicap shoot of the new season on the Mangapapa range on Saturday, with a good muster of marksmen. The practices consisted of !0 shots each at 200yds and 300yds, and some good scores were registered, despite somewhat tricky conditions. At 200yds T. Dolman registered the best score of the rifle, with 40. others who made similar scores and were counted out being N. Taylor. A. Ford, and F. J. Jeune. The highest tally at 300yds was returned by Jeune, who got 40 of n possible 50, Taylor being second with 47. With a handicap of 8, A. Thomas carried oIV the handicap match, his gross score being 90. F. J. Jeune was second with 95, scored from the scratch mark, and N. Taylor, handicap 2. was third with 95. Details of the best scores were: — A.
