‘WET” CANTEEN PROPOSAL
(Per Press Association.) ASHBURTON, this day. The Rev. Angus Mcßean, president of the Methodist church of New Zealand, has written to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defence expressing on behalf, of the church deep regret at the proposal for the introduction. of “wet” canteens in military camps, which would mean an added load to the anxiety of many parents an.cl would be against the best interests of young men.
