M H Oram, eldest son of Mr. and/ Mrs. M; 11. Oram, Palmerston North, has joined the Honourable Artillery Company. He was m England undertaking a course of study and reorders' on August 27 to report f off-duty on the following Monday. This was just prior to the outbreak o. the,' war. Mr. Oram was'posted to Battery, ■ which' is an antiaircraft unit.
