WOOL AS INSULATION
PROVED THE IDEA!
Big additions are being made l' freezing works cool storage capac ity all over the Dominion.
This involves large supplies of insulating material. Cork has always been largely used for this purpose, but lately, there has been some difficulty in securing supplies. Discussing this matter with a power board member, a Dominion reporter found wool to bo the ideal insulating material. Many trials had been carried out, with a wide variety of materials, to find the best insulating material for hot-water cylinders. Of all tried, wool proved the best,
It see ns, therefore, that we need not worry unduly about cork when there'is good New Zealand wool at hand.
