N.Z. WOOL TRADE AUGUST SALES & EXPORTS Offerings and sales of wool in New Zealand during July and August were well ahead of those for the corresponding period of last year, according to the returns compiled by Dalgety and Company, Limited. Last month 10,744 bales were offered, of which 9718 bales were sold. The figures for the two months eh.ded August 28 compare as follows with those for the corresponding period of last year:

Shipments of wool from New Zealand last month were 10,794 bales of greasy and 11,290 bales of slipe, a total of 28,090 bales.

For the two months ended August 28 shipments totalled 58,335 bales, compared with 44,342 baies for the corresponding period of last year, an increase of 13,993 bales. The figures indicate that the estimated carry-over of 45,000 bales at the end of June has now been reduced to a negligible amount. SYDNEY STOCK EXCHANGE (KU'c. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.)
