BEACH BALL COSTS LIFE
LONDON, Aug. 8. While Charles Clarke, aged 45, of G'obe road, Hornchurch, Essex, and his 13-year-old son, Ellon, were playing with a beach ball at Shoeburyness, Essex, yesterday evening, they stepped suddenly into deep water.
The father sank and did not reappear.
