CIVIL SERVICE CLUB ANNUAL MEETING There was a good attendance at die annual meeting of the Civil Service Cricket Club, Mr. A. Bignall being in the chair.

Those present commented favourably upon the satisfactory position as outlined in the report and balance sheet.

The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr. D. G. Robertson; president, Mr. N. Dallas; vice-presidents, Messrs. D. R. James. R. Carr and E. H. Farnie; hon. secretary, Mr. T. W. Hart; lion, treasurer, Mr. G. L. Will; lion, auditor, Mr. E. James; captain, Mr. T. W. Hart; vice-captain, Mr. W. Hayden; delegates to the association,Messrs. A. Bignall, H. Lee and G. L. Will.

The subscription was fixed at the -ame rate as last year. Two new members were elected, Messrs. S. Hardman and H. Clark. If was decided to send letters of appreciation o the press, the Umpires’ Associaion, and to Mcsdames Bignall and Lee for their unremitting efforts in the supply of afternoon tea at the Oval.

The delegate to the association’s management committee was instructed lo urge that no discrimination should be shown between senior A and senior B teams in the allocation to the concrete wicket.

It was decided to apply for Wednesday as practice night, as in the past.
