TURANGANUI AND PARK INTER-CLUB FIXTURE HANDICAP PLAY The following is the draw for partners in the qualifying round for the club championship to be played on Saturday by members of the Turanganui Golf Club:— Ladies’ Section. —Mrs. W. Any player not drawn can arrange for a partner at the club-house. The following players have been selected to represent the club in a return match with the Gisborne Park players to be played at the Tuoi links over the week-end, commencing at 1 p.m: —R. Keiha, R. W. PARK GOLF CLUB Last week-end, the lady members of the Park Golf Club played the second qualifying round for the handicap series, the winners of the B section being Misses Lane. 10G — 35—71, and Hollis, 98—27—71. The winner of the C section was Miss J. Alley, with Mrs. Alley second.
The competition for the J.K. Stars has been completed the winners being Mrs. Vickers and Miss llopps. For the McMurray Star this week-end, Mrs. Clark will be challenged by Miss J- Alley. The first round for fhe championship was completed last week-end, the results being as follows: —

Johnstone and Miss Francis; Miss Hollis and Miss Price; Miss Higgs and Miss IIopps; Miss Gilman and Miss Roddick; Mrs. Smith and Miss Martin; Miss Henderson and Miss McGreevy; Miss Pearce and Miss Macnamara; Miss Scott and Miss Bell; Miss Long arid Miss Ambridge; Miss Winters and Miss Heaslip; Miss Collett and Miss Alley; Miss Sheen and Airs! Burr; Miss E. Johnson and Miss Smart: Miss Ensor and partner. The official starter will be Miss Kay. WAIKOHU CLUB Next Saturday on the Waikohu Golf Club’s links the two qualifying rounds for the club championship will be played at 9 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. The draw is posted in the club-house and any players unable to take part should notify the secretary as soon, as possible. Competitors in the first flight will be grouped in A and B grades arid will contest the senior and junior championships respectively. All members have been drawn to play in the qualifying rounds, and it is anticipated that the majority will be able to take part now that benzine restrictions have'been relaxed. In the lucky number competition arranged by the club recently, the first prize, donated by Mr. Al. J. Kyne, was won Iby Mrs. N. T. Clark, and the second prize, donated by Mr. T. M. Askew, was won by Mr. T. Horton.
