MOTORISTS’ AFFAIRS ‘‘STILL OUR JOBS TO DO” “We still have our jobs to do, arid we must do them to the best of our ability,” stated Mr. L. Miles, who presided at a meeting of the Gisborne advisory committee of the Automobile Association (Auckland) yesterday afternoon, when viewing the future of the association. “There is no reason why we should slacken up in the association’s affairs,” he added. “The association still has to carry on, and while private cars are no longer being supplied with petrol, commercial vehicles are still on the road. Tire secretary, Mr. G. Crawshaw, reported that members had paid their subscriptions well, many having come in during the past month, and the percentage of subscriptions paid constituted a record. The membership with the agency now totalled 1586. Those present at the meeting were: Mr. L. Miles, chairman, Dr. A. L. Singer, Messrs. T. Terry, E. W. Forrest, H. H. De Costa, A. Baillie, and the resident patrol, Mr. G. V. Merton.
