MOTORIST PLEADS GUILTY

NEGLIGENCE CHARGE FATALITY NEAR CROMWELL (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. In the Magistrate’s Court in Cromwell yesterday, Mr. H. J. Dixon, S.M., took the lower court hearing of the charge against Allan James Edwards, aged 19 years, of negligently driving a motor car and causing the death of William Andrew Mutimer, aged 19 years. The charge arose out of a motor collision near Cromwell on Easter Monday, resulting in eight persons being injured. The accused pleaded guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Couri for sentence. Bail was allowed, self £IOO and surety of a like amount. The inquest was conducted concurrently with the hearing of the charge, and the Coroner that death was due to multiple injuries received in an accident.
