FIXED PRICE IN LONDON OVER GUARANTEE After consultation with the Food Defence Plan Department, the London Provision Exchange has requested members of the trade in England to hold prices for butter and cheese at their present level until further •notice. Prices for New Zealand salted butter have been stabilised at 124 s to 125 s per ewt, the level ruling at the end of last week. This is a shade above the London equivalent of the guaranteed price of 124 s 3d. The level at which prices have been fixed is equal to approximately 14.93 d per lb., f.0.b., New Zealand ports, compared with the guaranteed price of 14.89 d per lb., f.o.b.
